Learn how to setup MaxCDN with the W3 Total Cache plugin for optimal website speed. MaxCDN’s content delivery network uses multiple servers around the world to deliver your content from the closest server to your visitor.

This could potentially shave seconds off your page load time especially for visitors who were originally far away from your origin server, but now have a closer server thanks to your new CDN. Once you’ve created a pull zone and application in the MaxCDN dashboard, you will now have the required information to enter into W3 Total Cache’s CDN tab.

1. Sign up for MaxCDN

2. Create a pull zone

3. Create an application

4. Configure general settings tab in W3 Total Cache

5. Configure CDN tab in W3 Total Cache

Refer to my full W3 Total Cache tutorial for full instructions on configuring the different “performance tabs” in W3 Total Cache, as well as CloudFlare.
